I prefer the boring, solid solution over the clever one. Complexity is the default failure mode in software; my job is finding the smaller, sturdier version of whatever's in front of me

Ownership

I don't wait for permission to fix what's broken. If it's mine to deliver, I see it through code, process, and consequences alike
